A one-day White House workshop on Psychological Science and Behavioral Economics in the Service of Public Policy was held on May 22, 2013 in Washington, DC. Discussion focused on identifying the major challenges faced as decision-makers seek to integrate insights from the social and behavioral sciences into economic and health-related policies. The goal of the workshop was to generate concrete examples of interdisciplinary interactions that can contribute to evidence-based policy making.

This workshop was co-sponsored by the White House Council of Economic Advisers, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the National Institute on Aging at the NIH, and the Association for Psychological Science. SRNDNA provided travel support for a select group of emerging leaders in policy-relevant science in areas related to psychology and/or economics.
